Montreal police investigate the fatal stabbing of a man outside a bar

Montreal police responded to multiple 911 calls of a stabbing at a bar on Côte-des-Neiges Road near Barclay Avenue after receiving reports of a violent altercation at approximately 2 a.m. on Saturday, August 9th.

When officers arrived, they found a 36-year-old man who was conscious and had sustained a lower-body injury from a sharp object. He was transported to hospital, where he remains in stable condition with injuries not considered life-threatening.

The second victim, 48-year-old Stanley Bellot, died from his injuries later that day.

Brendon Emmanuel Wilson, 40, of St-Laurent, is charged with second-degree murder and with assaulting a 36-year-old man who was also injured inside the bar.
