Around 1:10 a.m. on August 8, 2025, Swift Current Municipal RCMP responded to a report of an injured man at a home on 1st Avenue NW in Swift Current, Saskatchewan.

Officers arrived quickly at the scene. The man was transported to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. He has been identified as a 29-year-old Matthew Neufeld of Swift Current. His family has been notified.

His death is being treated as suspicious, and Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes has taken over the investigation.

Christopher Sean Foster, 54, was arrested on October 15th, and charged with second-degree murder.
