Laval police were called to the report of a shooting in the parking lot of a business on the service road of Highway 440, October 25th at approximately 8:00am.

On arrival police located Vincenzo Armeni, 66, deceased at the scene. According to the Montreal Gazette “Armeni received a 19-year sentence for his role in a conspiracy to traffic 760 kilograms of cocaine. During the summer of 2005, while he was investigated in that case, police had evidence that Armeni arranged to have one of his partners store the cocaine inside a home in Blainville. Four months later, when police searched the house, only 241 kilos were left.”

No arrests have been made.
