Sudbury police responded to a residence on Caruso Street in Coniston in relation to unknown trouble on October 30th at 6:20 p.m.

On arrival police said there were immediate concerns for the person’s well-being. Officers located 46 year old Brian Desormeaux, 43 year old Janet Desormeaux and 17 year old Ashton Desormeaux. The deceased are a father, mother and son who all lived in the residence.

Update November 8th police said they have concluded that 17-year-old Ashton Desormeaux was responsible for a murder-suicide that also took the lives of his parents Brian and Janet Desormeaux.

The incident is being investigated as a Murder-Suicide and we continue to work in collaboration with the Coroner’s Office. Police will not be releasing any other details at this time.
