60-year-old man dead after a weapons complaint in Halifax

Halifax regional police responded to a weapons complaint on December 8th at approximately 3:10pm at a home in the 5500 block of Morris street.

Police arrived to find two injured men ages 60 and 70, suffering from serious injuries. Both men were rushed to hospital where 60-year-old Donald Scott McKay died of his injuries.

Police said they are not looking for any suspects and there is no threat to public safety. Information will be updated as it becomes available.

Halifax police arrested James Alfred Maclean, 70, of Halifax, and charged him with second-degree murder.
