44-year-old man turns himself to police in relation to a Rocky Mountain House homicide

Rocky Mountain House RCMP responded to several reports of a man with a gun inside a residence, on July 26th at approximately 7:35 pm.

Police arrived at the home and found a deceased 28-year-old woman and her injured 29-year-old sister. The injured woman was taken to hospital and has since been released. Police said there were also three children in the house at the time of the homicide. All the children were unharmed.

The 44-year-old male suspect, who had fled the scene, turned himself in to Rocky Mountain House RCMP and remains in police custody.
