The 2025 BC Homicide Victim List is available here

Vancouver Police Department officers responded to Crab Park at approximately 8:30 a.m. on March 22 after a body was discovered along the gravel path.

The victim has been identified as 51-year-old Brett MacDonald. Police believe the homicide was targeted.

No arrests have been made at this point.

The VPD will be deploying extra officers in the area throughout the day to gather evidence. Anyone with relevant information is encouraged to reach out to the VPD Homicide Unit at 604-717-2500.
