Two Men Charged in Connection to the Homicide of Terrance Campbell in Sydney NS

Nova Scotia 2026 Homicide Victim List

Two men from Wagmatcook, Pavel Benjamin Peck, 29, and Vernon Gregory Peck, 32, have been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the stabbing death of 39-year-old Terrance Campbell of Sydney.

Police were called to a Frederick Street home in Sydney on June 3 after Campbell was found suffering from serious stab wounds. He was taken to Cape Breton Regional Hospital but later died from his injuries.

The two accused were arrested about 90 minutes later after police located the vehicle they believed was involved near Orangedale. The men knew the victim, and police say the incident appears to have been isolated, with no ongoing threat to the public.

Vernon Peck is also charged with forcible confinement, while Pavel Peck faces three charges for breaching previous court-ordered conditions. Both are scheduled to appear in Sydney Provincial Court.
