Suspicious Death Under Investigation on Moosomin First Nation

Battlefords RCMP were called to Moosomin First Nation after receiving a report that a man was in need of urgent medical help at around noon on December 8, 2025.

When officers arrived at a home in the community, they found the individual and began providing medical care. Sadly, EMS later pronounced him deceased at the scene. The man has been identified as 59-year-old Arnold Thomas from Saulteaux First Nation.

Because the circumstances of his death are considered suspicious, the investigation has been taken over by Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes.

Investigators are asking anyone with information, especially anyone who spoke with or saw Arnold Thomas between December 4 and December 8, to come forward. Tips can be provided by calling 310-RCMP.
