Emergency responders were alerted around 5:15 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17th, after two bodies were discovered—one in a park in the Pointe-des-Cascades area and the other inside a home in Vaudreuil-Dorion.

The investigation began when a passerby came across the body of a 38-year-old man in the park. Police later went to his residence, where they found the body of a 32-year-old woman, who was reportedly a mother of two young children.

The SQ has not yet confirmed the cause of death for either individual and stated that all possibilities are still being examined.

According to SQ spokesperson Ève Brochu-Joubert, investigators are considering all scenarios at this point. While it is believed the two individuals knew each other, police have not officially confirmed their relationship.

The case is now in the hands of the Crimes Against the Person Investigation Division, with support from forensic identification experts working to clarify the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
