Saskatoon Police Investigate City’s First Homicide of 2025

Saskatoon Police responded to a report of an injured individual at a business in the 3900 block of Millar Avenue, at approximately 8:00 p.m., January 20, 2025.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a 23-year-old man with stab wounds. He was rushed to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The suspect, who had fled the scene, was located and arrested near 2nd Avenue South and Spadina Crescent East. Investigators said a 53-year-old man now faces a charge of First Degree Murder. Investigations are ongoing, with the Major Crime Section and Forensic Identification Section actively involved.
