Regina police are investigating the city’s 6th homicide of 2020.

Regina police and paramedics responded to a report of an injured or sick person at a residence in the 1000 block of Princess Street on April 23rd at approximately 12:40pm.

On arrival police and paramedics located a deceased 16-year-old male. According to police, the identity of the deceased has been confirmed, but the name of the deceased person will not be released at this time.

An autopsy was performed and though the cause of death has not been released, police stated that a a homicide investigation is underway.

Update April 28th
Police have arrested six individuals in relation to the homicide. Arden Paquachan, 18, of Regina,  was arrested on April 24th and charged with First Degree Murder. Brandon Shayden Lee Charette, 18, of Regina, was arrested on April 26th and charged with First Degree Murder.

The remaining accused are all young persons who cannot be identified in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.  They are all males two 15 years old, one is 16-year-old and one 17-year-old.  All were arrested on Sunday, April 26th.  They are all charged with First Degree Murder.
