Peel Region Police were called to a single-vehicle crash on Monday January 20th at approximately 1:45 a.m. on Dixie Road near Derry Road.

On arrival police located 24-year-old  Gurvinder Singh of Caledon, suffering from serious injuries. He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

According to CBC, Police believe the shooting took place during an altercation at a nearby industrial complex in the area of Midway Boulevard and Invader Crescent.

An autopsy has been scheduled to determine if Singh died from injuries sustained during the shooting or the collision.
