Peel Region Police were called to a single-vehicle crash on Monday January 20th at approximately 1:45 a.m. on Dixie Road near Derry Road.

On arrival police located 24-year-old  Gurvinder Singh of Caledon, suffering from serious injuries. He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

According to CBC, Police believe the shooting took place during an altercation at a nearby industrial complex in the area of Midway Boulevard and Invader Crescent.

Update: On July 10th, Peel police released video surveillance of the surrounding area and has identified two vehicles of interest in relation to the offence:

• A black 2024 Ford F-150 PowerBoost hybrid pickup truck with trim package
• A black 2021-2025 GMC Yukon or Suburban
