Ottawa Police and emergency responders were called to a shooting the area near Carling Avenue and Kirkwood Avenue at approximately 6:09 pm on July 5th.
28-year-old Adam Abdullahi Elmi of Ottawa was located with life-threatening injuries. He was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.
No arrests have been made. Police do not believe there is an ongoing risk to public safety. The investigation is ongoing.
Update: A Canada-wide warrant has been obtained for the arrest of Soubere Yusuf AKLI, 28 years old, of Ottawa for First Degree Murder.
He is described as a black male, 6’1” (185 cm), 187 lbs. (85kg) with dark eyes, and dark hair (see photo).
A Canada-wide warrant remains in effect for Kennedid ATTEYEH, 23 years old, of Ottawa for Accessory after the fact to murder as well as a new charge of First Degree Murder.
Police believe that both men have left the country.
