Ontario Provincial Police said an infant was taken to hospital on May 8th, and they were contacted to assist Wikwemikong Tribal Police Service with the investigation on May 15th. The infant died on May 16th.

A 33-year-old woman was arrested last week and a 34-year-old man was arrested on August 26th. Both have been charged with manslaughter, criminal negligence causing death and failing to provide the necessaries of life. Police have not released the relationship between the deceased and the accused.
