Gatineau police responded to a disturbance at a home on rue Pointe-Gatineau near rue Berthe, on July 30th at approximately 10:00pm.

On arrival police and paramedics located Éric Madore, 49, suffering from serious injuries. Madore was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Mélanie Lagrois, 46, was arrested at the scene and was later charged with manslaughter. Police have not released the connection between the victim and accused, but said they were not in a relationship and they weren’t related.
