London police responded to the report of an unresponsive man at Gibbons Park located on Grosvenor Street on November 6th at approximately 7:00am.
On arrival police and paramedics located Daniel Joseph Fawcett, 52, of London, suffering from serious injuries. Despite lifesaving efforts, the victim was pronounced deceased a short time later.
Investigators are interested in speaking with anyone who may have been in the 0-100 block of Grosvenor Street between 2 – 7 a.m., on Sunday, November 6, 2022, or who may have information that could assist with the investigation.
- According to CTV News the victim Daniel Fawcett, is a well-known local musician and former member of Helix.
Update November 11th
London police have arrested Craig Allan, 48, and charged him with one count of second degree murder. Allana Lebars, 40, has also been arrested and charged with one count of manslaughter.
Update November 23rd.
Allana Lebars who was originally charged with second-degree murder, after luring Fawcett to the park where she knew he would be harmed by her boyfriend, has pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
According to reports, the court was told Lebars and Fawcett had been friends and had spent time together. But at the time of the stabbing, Lebars was in a new relationship.
