Deschambault Lake RCMP received a report of a serious assault outside of a residence on February 2, 2024 at approximately 10:50 a.m.

RCMP arrived and located injured adult male, who was transported to the local clinic, where he died of his injuries. He has been identified as 21-year-old Jonathan Custer from Deschambault Lake.

As a result of the investigation RCMP Major Crimes, arrested 22-year-old Keiffer Robillard from Deschambault Lake and charged him with one count, second degree murder.
