Update: The Province is offering a reward of up to $150,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction – Halifax police investigate the fatal shooting of Nathaniel Maurice Brown

Halifax police responded to a report of a shooting on Lahey Road on February 4th at approximately 11:20pm.

On arrival police located 36-year-old Nathaniel Maurice Brown, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

At this time, investigators do not believe that this was a random incident.

The Province is offering a reward of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for the homicide of Nathaniel Brown.

“Mr. Brown’s family has suffered a terrible loss and they deserve closure,” said Brad Johns, Attorney General and Minister of Justice. “I encourage anyone with information to please come forward if you know something about this crime.”

Investigators are asking anyone with information about Nathaniel’s murder or video from the area, who has not yet spoken with police, to call 902-490-5020.
