Edmonton, Alberta 2026 Homicide Victim List

Edmonton Police were called to a home near 82 Avenue NW and 175 Street NW around 9:36 p.m. on April 3, 2026, after receiving reports of an injured man.

When officers arrived, a 52-year-old man was found and transported to hospital by EMS, where he was later pronounced dead. A male youth was taken into custody at the scene without incident.

Investigators have classified the death as suspicious, and the case has been handed over to the Edmonton Police Service Homicide Section. At this stage, authorities say they are not looking for any additional suspects.

An autopsy determined that the death was the result of a homicide.

Police charged a male youth with second-degree murder. The youth accused is known to the victim and police are withholding their identities and the cause of death for investigative purposes.
