Edmonton police responded to the area of 118 Avenue and 90 Street on multiple reports of an assault on May 3rd at approximately 6:30 a.m.

On arrival police located a man in medical distress. Paramedics responded and transported the man to hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.

Aan autopsy completed by the Edmonton Medical Examiner determined that Michal Sadomski, 44, died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head and chest. The manner of death is homicide.

White Mngope Nganika, 24, has since been charged with second-degree murder.

Homicide detectives are looking to speak with anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage of the assault. Anyone with any information or CCTV footage of this crime is asked to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567
