Downtown Branch patrol officers responded to the report of an unresponsive male in front of a business in the area of 97 Street and 106 Avenue on October 5th at approximately 7:10 a.m.

Paramedics responded and attempted life-saving measures but sadly he was pronounced deceased on scene.

Homicide Section has since taken over the investigation. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday, October 6, 2023.

Upadte: Following an autopsy completed on Friday, Oct. 6, 2023, the death is no longer being treated as suspicious.
