The 2025 BC Homicide Victim List is available here

On January 20, 2025, the Delta Police Department (DPD) responded to a shooting incident at a home in the 8100 block of 112B Street, Delta.

On arrival police located The victim, 29-year-old Delta resident Gurvinder Uppal, who succumbed to his injuries in hospital. 

Shortly after the gunfire, a white Ford pickup truck fled the scene and was later discovered burning in the 7300 block of Blake Drive, Delta.

This shooting is the first homicide in Delta in 2025.  Delta recorded no homicides in 2024.
