The 2022 Regina Homicide Victim List is availble here
Regina police were dispatched to a house in the 1600 block of Toronto Street on January 4th at approximately 1:05pm.
On arrival, police located 63-year-old Deborah Mae Mahadeo deceased. Her cause of death has not been released at this time.
As a result of the investigation, police arrested the victim’s son, Raefe MAHADEO, and charged him with Second Degree Murder.
Update January 25th 2023
According to reports Raefe Aeron Mahadeo tried and failed four times to get mental help in a Regina emergency room before killing his mother.
The Judge said “In Dr. Lohrasbe’s opinion, Mr. Mahadeo was suffering from a disease of the mind, Schizophrenia, and was in a psychotic state at the time of the predicate offence,”
Raefe Aeron Mahadeo has been found not criminally responsible for the January 2022 death of 63-year-old Deborah Mae Mahadeo.
