Daniel Sawan charges with second-degree murder in Peace River Homicide

Peace Regional RCMP and EMS responded to a report of an unconscious male outside of an apartment building in the area of 101 street and 101 Avenue in Peace River on July 16th at approximately 4:40pm.

Despite lifesaving efforts a 42-year-old male from the Peace Region, was pronounced at the scene. An autopsy was performed and determined the death to be a homicide. The victim’s identity and cause of death have not been released.

Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit arrested 35-year-old Daniel Sawan of Peace River, and charged him with second-degree murder.
