Gatineau police said in a release on Friday, July 11, that officers were called to a residence on Promenade Lakeview in the Aylmer area around 6:15 a.m. in response to an assault.

On arrival they found 60-year-old Conrad Robinson with severe injuries, and paramedics transported him to the hospital. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The Office of the Director of Criminal and Penal Prosecutions has charged 21-year-old Keshaye Brown of North York, Ont., with manslaughter.

According to police, Brown was not previously known to the Gatineau police service.
