Colin Lepretre, and Elizabeth Quinn are charged in relation to the 2020 homicide of missing man Victor Roger Noel

On Jan. 7, 2020, the Edmonton police issued a news release seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing man, Victor Roger Noel, 56, who was reportedly last seen on Thursday, Dec. 24, 2019, at approximately 8 p.m. in the area of 108 Street and 85 Avenue. 

Aug. 18. 2022, Camrose RCMP responded to the report of human remains located in the area of Township Road 474 and Range Road 203 in Camrose County, Alberta. The Edmonton Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022; however, the remains could not be definitively identified. 

September 2022, circumstances surrounding the death led RCMP and EPS to believe this was linked to the investigation of Noel’s disappearance and EPS Homicide Section assumed the investigation. In October of 2022, with the assistance of DNA technology, the deceased’s identity was formally confirmed to be Victor Roger Noel.

Following further testing, the medical examiner confirmed the cause and manner of death on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, concluding they died as a result of a gunshot wound, and the death was a homicide.

On Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023, Colin Lepretre, 31, of Edmonton was arrested and charged with second degree murder and indignity to a dead body.

On Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023, Elizabeth Quinn, 28, of Vancouver, British Columbia, was arrested and charged with accessory after the fact to murder and indignity to a dead body.
