British Columbia 2026 Homicide Victim List

Chilliwack RCMP officers were called to a home on Mellard Avenue around 8:40 a.m. on February 15th, following reports of gunfire.

When emergency crews arrived, they located two people with gunshot wounds. One person was declared dead at the scene, while the other was taken to hospital in serious condition.

the victim has been identified as 48-year-old Kristopher Benson.

Jason Himpfen, 50, Zoltan Losier, 34, and Christopher Meischl, 40, have been charged with one count of second-degree murder. The men also have been charged with one count of attempted murder.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has taken over the case.
