Saskatchewan 2026 Homicide Victim List
Prince Albert RCMP responded to a report of a truck stuck in a field about 40 kilometres east of Prince Albert on February 4th. The vehicle had previously been reported stolen on January 29 and was towed to a business on 41st Street East.
On February 7, a fire broke out at that same property. Prince Albert Police Service and the local fire department responded to multiple vehicles burning, including the recovered truck. The fire was deemed suspicious.
Two days later, while examining the burned truck, investigators discovered a deceased person inside. The death was considered suspicious, prompting the RCMP’s Homicide Investigation Unit to take over the case.
The victim has since been identified as 39-year-old Stacey Badger of Mistawasis Nêhiyawak (Mistawasis First Nation). Her family has been notified, and victim services are supporting them.
Investigators are working to piece together a timeline and are asking anyone who saw suspicious activity near 41st Street East between the evening of February 6 and the morning of February 7, or anyone who recently had contact with Stacey Badger, to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
