Charges laid in the death of 17-year-old Braiden Jacob

Thunder Bay police responded to a report of a 
passerby seeing what they believed to be a body at the southern portion of Chapples Park, on December 9th at 11:30am.

Police arrived to find the body of a young man deceased. The victim was transported to Toronto where an autopsy was performed on December 12th. The results of the examination confirmed the body discovered was that of Braiden Jacob, 17, who had been reported missing earlier.

Thunder Bay Police arrested and charged a 22-year-old male in connection with the homicide of Braiden Jacob. Police said the man was arrested on December 14th at approximately 5:00pm.  The accused is facing a charge of second degree murder and is scheduled to appear in court on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018.
