Police are searching for a 25-year-old man wanted in connection with a fatal assault that took place at a home in the 2300 block of Crestwood Road S.E. in Calgary.

Officers were called to the residence around 9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2026, following reports of a physical altercation inside the home. When emergency crews arrived, they found a man in his 20s suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was transported to hospital, where he later died.

According to investigators, the suspects had already fled the scene before police arrived.

Police have now released a photo of Makuey Nhial, who is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for murder. He is described as six feet tall, weighing about 154 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Investigators continue to work on the case and are asking anyone with information about Nhial’s whereabouts to contact police at 403-266-1234 or submit anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers.
