Winnipeg, Manitoba 2026 Homicide Victim List

A 20-year-old man is facing multiple charges, including second-degree murder, following a deadly shooting in Winnipeg that left one man dead and another injured.

Winnipeg police were called to a residence in the 600 block of Bannerman Avenue shortly before 10 p.m. on May 18, 2026, after receiving reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds: a 21-year-old man and a 23-year-old man. Police provided emergency medical assistance before both victims were rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

The 23-year-old victim later died from his injuries and was identified as Andrew Chartrand. The second victim was later upgraded to stable condition.

The Winnipeg Police Homicide Unit launched an investigation and later identified a suspect in the case.

On May 21, 2026, officers arrested Joshua Lloyd Beaulieu, 20, with assistance from the Manitoba Integrated Violent Offender Apprehension Unit and the Tactical Support Team.

Beaulieu has been charged with second-degree murder, aggravated assault, multiple firearm-related offences, and failing to comply with conditions of a release order. He remains in custody as the investigation continues.
