Parkland RCMP said a woman was discovered by police suffering from a serious stabbing injury on May 2nd. Bearhead was rushed to an Edmonton hospital but succumbed to her injuries on May 7, 2023.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested 28-year-old Blake Bird, and charged him with charged with one count of Second Degree Murder.

Justice Kent Teskey of the Court of King’s Bench has found Blake Bird guilty of manslaughter in the death of a woman.
