Peel Regional Police responded to a shooting in the area of Bramalea Road and Dewside Drive on April 1st at around 1:00pm.

On arrival, police and paramedics located a man suffering from obvious signs of trauma. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Update: On Tuesday, April 29, investigators carried out a search warrant at a home located near Airport Road and Humberwest Parkway in Brampton. During the operation, they arrested 30-year-old Balreet Singh Gill, who is now facing a charge of first-degree murder.
