OPP were called to a disturbance involving the sound of gunshots at a home on Laval Street on May 11th at approximately 2:00am.

Three police officers arrived at the scene and were all shot at by the perpetrator. All three were taken to a hospital in Ottawa where Sgt. Eric Mueller died of his injuries. The other two officers are expected to survive.

Alain Bellefeuille, 39, was arrested and has been charged with one count of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder.
