Edmonton police received numerous reports of gunfire in the area of 162 Avenue and 51 Street on August 19th at approximately 10:45pm.

Police arrived at the scene to find Abdi Latif Hirsi, 27, deceased male inside a vehicle. Police said it appeared that Hirsi sustained several gunshot wounds.

A grey or silver Nissan Sentra occupied by multiple individuals was witnessed leaving the scene following the shooting. No arrests have been made at this time.

Update September 13th
Edmonton police said tips from the public lead to the arrests of four men in relation to the death if Hirsi. Hashim Abdulkadir Mohamed, 24, Samatar Mohiadin, 20, Amiir Hussen, 20, and Mohamod Mohamod, 18, are each facing first-degree murder charges.
