Update: Charanjeet Singh has been charged with 1st Degree Murder following the fatal stabbing of his wife at a Mississauga Canadian Tire

Peel police were called to the report of a stabbing at a Canadian Tire in the area of Mavis and Britannia on September 19th at 6:01 p.m. 

On arrival police located a man and a woman inside the store, the woman was suffering from obvious trauma according to Const. Philip Yake. The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene, and the male accused was taken to hospital for minor injuries and has been placed into police custody. Police have not released the relationship between the victim and accused.

26-year-old Charanjeet Singh, has been charged with First Degree Murder.  He will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice September 20th in Brampton to answer to this charge. 

Update September 22:
The victim has been identified as Chandanpreet Kaur, 22, the wife of the accused.
