St Catharines 2026 Homicide Victim List
Niagara Regional Police Service 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) were on proactive patrol near Glendale Avenue when they spotted a fire burning in a wooded section of Mountain Locks Park on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at approximately 3:15 a.m.
When officers moved in to investigate, they found a large tent fully engulfed in flames. Crews from St Catharines Fire Services arrived on scene and extinguished the blaze. During their response, one deceased individual was located.
The victim has been identified as 53-year-old Kenneth Dombroskie, who was experiencing homelessness.
Following the initial investigation, authorities determined the death to be a homicide. Detectives with the Niagara Regional Police Homicide Unit have since taken over the case, with support from the 1 District Detective Office and the Forensic Services Unit.
