On June 13, 2025, Sudbury police responded to a weapons-related call on Clemow Avenue in Greater Sudbury. Reports indicated that two people had been shot and were in urgent need of medical assistance.
When officers and paramedics arrived, they found a 40-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man suffering from suspected gunshot wounds. Both were seriously injured and taken to hospital. Tragically, the woman later died from her injuries.
Update: On June 13, 2025, members of the Emergency Response Unit (ERU) arrested 19-year-old, Braidon Jordan on Barrydowne Road.
Braidon Jordan has been charged with the following offences under the Criminal Code of Canada and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA):
Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking to wit Cocaine
- Second Degree Murder
- Attempt Murder with a Firearm
- Breach of Firearms Prohibition x3
- Break and Enter – Commit Indictable Offence
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing it was Obtained Through the Commission of a Crime
- Unlawful Possession of a Firearm
- Use Firearm in Commission of an Offence
- Pointing a Firearm
- Carry Concealed Weapon
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
- Adult Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
- Careless Use of a Firearm
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
- Breach of Probation
Peel Regional Police, officers located and arrested a 14-year-old, youth in Peel Region on June 27, 2025, in relation to this matter.
The youth has been charged with the following offences under the Criminal Code of Canada;
- First Degree Murder
- Careless Use of a Firearm
- Attempt Murder with Firearm
- Weapons Dangerous
- Unlawful Possession of a Firearm
- Use Firearm in the Commission of Offence
- Pointing a Firearm
- Carry Concealed Weapon
- Knowledge of Unauthorised Possession
Sudbury police have released images of a suspect known as “W” or “Felix,” who is believed to be connected to a recent shooting.
The suspect is described as standing between 5’10” and 6’2″ tall and is thought to have injured his right hand during the incident. Investigators believe he may be residing in Southern Ontario and should be considered armed and dangerous.
