Emergency crews responded to the report of a shooting at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Aug. 26, 2022.

Police arrived to find Sibel Duzguner, 38, who was located outside with gunshot wounds. She was rushed to hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.

On Thursday May 24th, 2024, Nottawasaga OPP arrested and charged Ahmet Duzguner, 51, of New Tecumseth, with first-degree murder.
