Provincial police said they were called to Spencer House Orillia on November 13th after receiving a report that two residents had been involved in an altercation.
On arrival, Kevin Elmes, 88, was located suffering from serious injuries. Elmes was rushed to Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital where he died of complications from blunt-force trauma to the head on November 24th.
No charges have yet been laid, however, OPP’s Orillia detachment are now leading the ongoing homicide investigation.
