Abbotsford police responded to the report of an assault in progress at a residence in the 3400 Block of Wagner Drive on March 15th at approximately 10:50pm.

Police arrived to find a 41-year-old Balwinder Kaur, suffering from life-threatening stabbing injuries. Life-saving efforts were immediately provided, however Kaur died of her injuries.

50-year-old Jagpreet Singh, the victim’s husband, was arrested at the scene and has been charged with 2nd-degree murder. He remains in police custody.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has taken over the investigation.
