Ontario Provincial Police are investigating after a deceased person was found at a home on Crowder Road in Spencerville on Saturday.

The small community is located approximately 80 kilometres south of Ottawa, close to Highway 416.

The OPP has classified the death as suspicious, but investigators have not disclosed details about what may have happened or the circumstances surrounding the discovery.

Police said initial findings indicate the incident is contained to the location and that there is currently no known threat to the wider community.

A police presence is expected to remain in the area as investigators gather evidence and work to determine what led to the death.
