Emergency crews were called to the Kozy Inn on Princess Street, on September 5th at approximately 1 am on report of shots fired.

Paramedics located the 38-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was rushed to Kingston General Hospital, where he died of his injuries.

Police said the shooter fled the inn after the shooting but returned by 2:00am. Police arrested 19-year-old Aaron Lewis of Ottawa. Lewis has been charged with second-degree murder.
