The Edmonton Homicide Victim List is available here

Edmonton police responded to a residence in the area of 3 Avenue and 42 Street SW on the report of a serious assault on July 3, 2024, at approximately 5:00 a.m.

On arrival, police located an adult female suffering from life-threatening injuries. Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

The Edmonton Medical Examiner’s Officer completed an autopsy on Friday, July 5, 2024, and determined the 33-year-old female died as a result of a stabbing. The manner of death is homicide.

The woman’s 32-year-old male partner, who was taken into custody shortly after her death, has since been charged with second degree murder.
