Surrey RCMP responded to shooting of a man near the 7300 block of 122 Street near Strawberry Hills in Newton on July 5, 2024, at approximately 5:30 am.

On arrival police located 25-year old Jatindeep Singh from Langley suffering from serious injuries. He was transported to hospital but has since died of his injuries. 

Investigators said Jatindeep does not have a criminal record, and the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team can confirm that this shooting was a targeted, isolated incident.

IHIT investigators are looking to speak with the friends and associates of Jatindeep Singh. Additionally, anyone with surveillance video, or dash-camera footage in the area of 7300 block of 122 Street on July 5, 2024, between 4:00 am to 6:00 am is being asked to contact the IHIT Information Line at 1-877-551-IHIT (4448) or by email at ihitinfo@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.
