Update Charges laid in the 2019 homicide of 18-year-old Devon Patten in Oshawa.

Durham regional police were called to a townhouse complex on several reports of shots fired on August 2nd at approximately 11:55 pm.

Police and paramedics arrived to find 18-year-old Devon Patten suffering from several gunshot wounds. Patten was pronounced deceased at the scene. It has been reported that several suspects were seen fleeing the scene.

Durham Region police have announced that Ramanujan RATNAVEL, age 22, of Toronto and an 18-year-old male of Toronto who was 16-years-old at the time of the offence are charged with First Degree Murder in relation to the death of Devon Patten.
