Portage la Prairie RCMP responded to the report of a male who was assaulted with a weapon behind a business on Saskatchewan Avenue West on September 27th 2021.

The injured 41-year-old male was taken to hospital where he died of his injuries on October 22nd, 2021.

One suspect was seen on foot wearing dark colored clothing and a light colored facemask. The other suspect was seen riding a bike wearing a light colored jacket/hoody and dark pants.

On February 3, 2022, RCMP Major Crime Services, arrested and charged a 17-year-old male from Portage la Prairie with Manslaughter, in the homicide of a 41-year-old male from Portage la Prairie.
