Fredericton Police Force responded to a report of human remains found in a wooded area near Two Nations Crossing on the city’s north side on Monday, October 20, 2025.

The victim has been identified as 28-year-old Montana Solomon, a resident of Fredericton.

Police said the case is being treated as a homicide.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the death and have stated that there is no ongoing threat to public safety, as the incident appears to be isolated. No arrests have been made so far, and an autopsy is scheduled to take place.
