Vancouver police investigate the homicide of Stephen Crock

Vancouver police said a person walking along the sidewalk stopped when they noticed a victim bleeding on the ground and called 911 on November 21st.

Emergency services arrived and located Stephen Crock, 34, unresponsive. He was rushed to hospital where he died.

“The victim was found lying in the middle of the busy sidewalk mid-block, on the south side of East Hastings, between Columbia and Carrall Streets”, says VPD Constable Jason Doucette. “This sidewalk is enclosed by a construction tunnel. We know there are witnesses who saw what happened and we are asking them to come forward.”

Investigators from the VPD’s Homicide Unit would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash-cam footage around that time. Anyone with information is asked to call 604-717-2500.
